How to care for your product?
All our products are handmade from 100% natural lambswool or Merino wool from New Zealand and the wool naturally contains lanolin which gives it a natural cleaning effect. It still has these natural effects even though it’s no longer on the sheep.
Therefore the best solution for caring for our wool products is to just simply place them outside to air which then starts the natural cleaning process and the wool will keep clean like that for quite a while depending on how much it’s being used. When placed outside in the air all kinds of smell coming from food, smoke or what not then will go away within a short while. If you obtain small stains here and there from for example food or such then you can just handwash the product with a bit of wool soap in cold water right by the stain instead of washing the entire product.
Washing instructions
Once you need to really wash your product then please follow these instructions:
OPTION 1
Handwash your product in cold water using only wool soap. Flush out the wool soap and then dry it flat in towels to suck out most of the water. After that you place your product to dry on a flat surface. Do not hang the product up to dry when it’s wet as it then it will stretch out of shape.
OPTION 2
Only wash your product on the 'hand wash' program in your washing machine, and always only with wool soap in cold water. If your machine does not have a specific 'hand wash programme' and only a general. wool programme, wool & silk, gentle wash or similar, then don't wash your Fuza Wool product in the machine! All these other programs often run for too long, have too many and too fast rotations, which will cause the wool to shrink even if it is washed with wool soap in cold water. If your machine actually has a 'hand wash programme' and you end up washing your Fuza Wool product on this program in the machine, then after washing you must extract as much water from the product as possible by rolling it up in a towel or something similar (Do not wring the water out of the product by hand!). Then place your product to dry on a flat surface either inside or outside. Do not hang your product up to dry when it is wet, as it will then stretch out of shape.

If normal washing detergent or hot water is used for washing your products they will be ruined. Same happens if you use any other program on your washing machine than the handwash program. If you machine does not have a handwash program then don’t wash your product in the machine.
